The swing dance band Diana Leigh & the Shorty Georges delivers exciting renditions of jazz standards. Featuring the arrangements and solo saxophone work of Jesse Collins, this band will kick up your heels!  Previously known as "Diana Leigh & her Savoy Stompers," we decided to change the name to the Shorty Georges. There are a lot of "stompers" out there. Plus, the new name reflects more clearly that we are a dance band!  It refers to a Lindy Hop dance move; Shorty George Snowden was a real person who invented the move. The video below, from our TV appearance in May 2017, was before the name change. But we are still playing the same great music! For additional videos please see the Music Archives page.

Aired on News Channel 9, WSYR, 5-16-17. Diana Leigh, vocals; Jesse Collins, saxophone; Joe Ferlo, guitar; Sean Peters, bass; Chris Jones, drums.
